If you’re reading this book for entertainment you will be entertained. Beyond that… not much. It’s a fun story and I am invested enough to read the next book, but admittedly I did come across quite a few plot holes and direct conflicts of storyline. For instance, changing a characters appearance for a disguise- namely eye color- only to then have the fmc talking about how beautiful his eyes are… when just a few pages ago they were supposedly changed? But small details aside, it was a colorful story and a good fantasy book when I haven’t read fantasy in awhile.

Love the story idea! Close attachment formed between the characters, but the ending was very abrupt.
I wanted to love this book! It had everything I love. Dragons, elves, magic, and otherworldly creatures. However, this read like a teen book or YA it felt incredibly immature and too innocent if that makes sense. The issues remind me of a Disney or PG-13 movie. I wanted to love this I did but it was just too innocent. There is a romance aspect but again very watered down. Maybe I missed something? When I looked at the details I don’t believe it was that genre? Anyway, this is just an honest review.
