This book was not as good as the first three, I gave it a higher rating only because I liked the previous books so much.

Ayla and Jondalar journey across Ice Age Europe, impressing the primitive tribes--she with her ability to communicate with animals, and he with his mastery of the tools of war.

This book had a lot going on.... a lot of different tribes that were met with along the way...some pleasant and some not. and loads of "interaction" between Ayla and Johndalar if you know what I mean..lol. I want to hurry to read book 5&6 soon because I feel like I know how the series will end and I'm a little sad if what I am thinking will come true...there's no other way it could end.
