A charming story about one man who planted trees over the years, After he saw how ruinous everything is without them. this story is like a testament to one man’s ability to bring hope for himself and to the people around him and how his efforts changed the life for so many people.

I love this book. But then, I am a pagan like Giono.

This was a book that Henry Miller said influenced him in The Books in My Life. It was short and a sweet reminder that man can be good.
