A very original story full of hope and humour

My aunt lent me this book saying she really enjoyed it, but that the story was special. I now have to agree with her. I think this type of humour and story is not for everyone but it worked well for me. I read it in one day as it is quite a short book. I liked the concept of the suicide shop, I found it really original. My only problem with this book is that the change in the characters behaviour happened to quickly in my opinion. Otherwise, it is a really nice fiction, full of hope in my opinion, though it can be understood differently. I think that is the beauty of this book, how one person can understand it very differently from another one. The ending was quite a shock for me and I still don’t understand it but it adds to the charm I believe.

A week after finishing the book, I watched the movie but I didn’t really like it. I thought it would help me understand the ending, but not really and many scenes that I liked in the book did not appear in the movie. However, the songs are quite nice. 

I don’t think I would recommend this book to people struggling with depression or who have mental health problem, but if you like dark humour, then this book is for you.
