Now with each book, I keep thinking, if I love it more than cat and bones…because right now they are tied. I can’t believe I am saying that, since Cat and Bones are just a classic couple, and a favorite, however Vlad and Leila are an empowering couple, and their bond is just so strong and I have adored every moment seeing them come closer, and with each book, the danger increases. I waited a whole year for this story to come out, and it was worth the wait. I couldn’t put this one down once…it was a phenomenal read, and I would recommend it to anyone that loves a romance that will get that blood thumping. Now there are certain things, I would like to keep under wraps in this review, so I don’t spoil it too much. But I would like to discuss how the relationship between Vlad and Leila grows. In this story, Vlad and Leila really get tested, I mean REALLY tested. And what happens shocks me and I wished I had some wine to get me a bit a fortification for this story. It tested my strength and I had the hardest time refraining from skipping ahead, I had to reign my self-control in, and control the urge. There was quite a few heart wrenching moments that tugged at my heartstrings. At the beginning of this story, Vlad and Leila have only been married for a short period, and have barely scratched the surface on the “honeymoon” stage, and with their enemy growing, you see how the danger tests their resolve, and most importantly tests their love. The characters themselves were just as wonderful as ever, and I found them to be equally compelling, you also see quite a bit of growth especially in Leila’s case, but also in Vlad. When they get tested, you see how they grow and become stronger willed individuals and the steam level---WOWZERS!!! I think I got burned reading this one…watch out and you just might want to bring out a fire extinguisher to take out the flames. Overall a sexually charged paranormal romance that is packed with danger, suspense, a crazy villain, a possessive hero, and a heroine that will win over your heart!! A HEARTSTOPPER!!

Extraño a los vampiros, me hacen recordar cuando era joven y estúpida. Ahora soy mayor y estúpida... ANYWAY. La serie Night Prince es una especie de spin-off del spin-off, ya reseñé libros anteriores de la serie así que más menos ya sabes de que va. Bound by Flames ha sido un libro en el que podía ver claramente los errores y seguir leyendo como si mi vida dependiera de eso. No sólo cae en el mismo recurso de secuestros a Leila, esta es la cuarta vez, si recuerdo bien, sino que cae en otros varios clichés que acepto en este género solamente, que si me dan lo mismo en Young Adult, creo que tiro el libro por la ventana. Uno de los puntos fuertes en los libros de esta serie son los personajes secundarios, quizá la historia tenga una ligera repetición de recursos, pero los personajes secundarios y diálogos hacen que me entretenga infinitamente con ellos. Sobre todo cada vez que aparece Mencheres, porque absolutamente todos los personajes describen al vampiro egipcio como un ser un tanto imponente e intimidante, pero ¿la verdad? El tipo es bien raro y por alguna razón de vez en cuando me recuerda, muy poquito, a King Richard de Galavant. Mencheres se me hace totalmente cómico y le tengo nada respeto Otra de las pocas cosas que le critico mucho a este spin-off, es que a Leila le pasan un montón de cosas malas, y en Bound by Flames creo que le gana a los otros libros en cuanto a desastres, pero la escritora nunca desarrolla, al menos hasta ahora, las consecuencias en la mente de Leila, no sé si en el último libro explotará todo y la pobre Leila tendrá una episodio psicótico gracias a todo el trauma que a tenido que pasar o será algo que solo siempre criticaré a la serie por falta de desarrollo. *** Puedo ver claramente los errores de Bound by Flames, pero como dije al inicio, aun así no puedo con la espera del cuarto y último en la serie Night Prince. ** spoiler alert ** So for out of the three, this was my least favourite. Once again we find Leila kidnapped and having to fight her way back to the arms of Vlad. Maybe I missed it, but I feel like this book should have come with some trigger warnings for (fake) rape, skinning torture, and a PLANE CRASH (can you tell I’m triggered by that last part?) Aspects I enjoyed: •Going through the process with Leila as she comes to terms and gets used to being a baby vamp. •Vlad confessing he’s behind the Dracula hype. I literally squealed in delight over this dark secret of his. Aspects I disliked •The pacing felt a little off to me? There wasn’t much I didn’t enjoy about this book, however the story itself didn’t feel as awesome as the first two installments to this series. Perhaps it’s because I’m a huge lover of super slow slow burns, and this was the first book where there wasn’t much relationship angst.

Sin embargo no todo es alegria, me he spoileado el septimo libro de night huntress y no se como reaccionar a eso. I freaking love this couple… Maybe even a little more than Cat and Bones. *Gasp* Yeah, I know, but while Cat and Bones fell a little flat by the end of their series, Leila and Vlad honestly get better and better with each book. I don’t know how many times I’ve reread the previous two books in the Night Prince series, and every time, I fall more in love with them. And hello there’s Vlad, who is my absolute favorite character in the entire Night Huntress world — he’s powerful, sensual, and his love for Leila is the deepest, most beautiful thing. So of course I’d been eagerly anticipating this third book, and it highly exceeded my expectations! I absolutely loved it! Vlad and Leila are getting into the role of husband and wife, but it’s not that easy. Vlad is overprotective and domineering, and Leila is stubborn as hell and somehow always getting into danger. But even though their marital roles need time getting used to, there’s no doubt that they both love each other fiercely. Vlad is as sexy and passionate as ever, and as Leila’s husband, he’s even more alpha-male, which I was totally a fan of. And I love that as hot and fierce as their love is for each other, they still joke around with each other. I just adore Vlad and Leila together! Vlad and Leila have been searching for their enemy, Szilagyi, but he’s powerful and always seems a step ahead. Vlad will do anything to protect Leila, and that’s tested when Leila is put into serious danger. Bound by Flames takes a turn for a much darker direction than I ever anticipated, but Jeaniene Frost flawlessly executes the thrill and suspense in this book. From beginning to end, it was riveting and unputdownable — I wholeheartedly loved Bound by Flames. It’s now probably my favorite of the series so far! And I have to say, I’m so, SO glad that Vlad and Leila’s story doesn’t end with Bound by Flames! We have one more book before we have to say goodbye to them (which I really don’t want to do).
