what an amazing book. the sexual tension between bones and cat was chefs kiss

Cat is now a agent for the government, leader of a team in hunting vampires. It has been four long years since she has seen Bones. Cat left Bones, with good intentions, wanting to protect him, and still after all of this time she still loves him deeply. But she also knows that they would never be able to have a future together. When she least expects it, he re appears back into her life, and she is shocked that he has found her. There is a part of her that is ecstatic beyond measure, but she knows how dangerous it is to have him in her life. But when it becomes clear that there is a price on her head, Bones is the only one that will be able to help. Being at his side though has certain consequences and she finds herself weakening against him, and before long she doesn't want to resist him any long. Cat realizes that they stand stronger together than they ever would apart, but only if Cat realizes that their love is strong enough to stand against any tide.I have just loved every book that has been written by this author. Its been quite some time since I have read One Foot in the Grave. As the second in the series, we see a continuation in Cat and Bones. The first one left off with Cat leaving Bones and starting a new life with a new identity and working for the government. I found Cat to be much stronger as a character in this one. I loved seeing the conflict and struggle between Cat and Bones, and I never liked how she left Bones in the first place. So I just adored seeing them get back together for good, and its always fun to see a intense plot unfold in such a fast paced way that makes you go to the edge of your seat. We still see the same sensuality and sexy intensity that comes along with Frosts writing. There is a certain way about her that she just captivates the reader instantly and makes it almost impossible to put it down. There is a sexy edge and a playful note to this story, a successful blend of romance, danger and intense emotion that will leave you thirsting for more. A Must read!!!

Not the best work of fiction, but entertaining. I laughed out loud a few times.

Now I know what's so great about chapter 32...

I really enjoyed this book for many reasons. One is that Cat and Bones' love story isn't the usual type of story. After the end of the last book, Cat decided to leave to protect Bones and her mother. One thing I liked about this book was that it was set four years after she left so it showed that some time passed and she was still in love with him. It wasn't just a crush that they had on each other, they were actually in love and them both wanting to be together after four years proved that. The story was exciting the entire time and I couldn't put it down unlike most books I have read lately. I recommend this book (read the first one first) to anyone who wants a strong female protagonist and a good love story all while kicking vampire butt.

I absolutely love this series, it's definitely one of my favorites! Bones and Cat have such wonderful passion in their relationship, in every aspect. Their bickering is always hilarious. There is tons of action and the book was really hard to put down. The beginning of the book was a bit tough for me...4 years have passed since the first book in the series and Bones and Cat were separated the whole time. So the first few chapters are Cat on her own feeling sorry for herself. Once they got together again though it was all worth it! Highly recommend this series to anyone that hasn't had a chance to check it out yet.

3.5/5

this book was and will always be one of my favorite one from this series! i love that we see much more of the vampire society and how Cat is starting to be a part of it too! Also I love that we saw a different, more mature side of her cause in the first book she was stressing me out (lol) check the trigger warning before you read!

5 stars after a re read. Cat and Bones have been apart for nearly five years and Cat works for a secret Govt agency taking out Vampires. Bones is as ever, unapologetic, sarcastic, funny and sexy. Cat has grown up since book 1, being apart from Bones and her work has made her harder, tougher and generally more kick ass. It was a fast paced read, full of banter, action and fun. How Cat and Bones first meet again after their separation was brilliant. I love how much Bones loves Cat and is not afraid to show it. More was introduced about Vampire society and other Characters, such as Ian and Mencheres are introduced here. Great book in a great series!
