Despite the grim subject matter, the book is leavened by Dexter's humorous inner monologue and witty observations about his quirky family dynamics. An unusual and entertaining take on detective stories and serial killers.

Dexter Is Delicious

Technically 3.5 stars as it was a great improvement over the previous few books. I love Dexter as a dad! It brought some extra depth to his character. I also actually enjoyed the case, but it was kind of gross too.
