I wanted to cry for the old me, the girl who gave a shit, who believed I was so broken I couldn't add queerness to the equation. I had only been hurting myself.

There, under the pink-and-white lights of the fireworks, she felt planets away.

Was it a memory if it only lasted for a few days?

There were times I had to pause and take it slow with this book because the feelings were too big, but wow. Gorgeous, tender, contemplative; painfully real but astoundingly hopeful. Younger me would have needed this

I just bought this book at a book convention in my country because the cover was cute and I'm eager for a queer romance. I wasn't expecting anything special, I thought it would be some cute cringe romance.

At the start it was difficult read for me but as I continued oh my... I became obsessed. I haven't cried over a book in such a long time. I literally had to pit book down and walk in the circle then pick it up again and continue reading it as the emotions hit me. And I even cried at the sex scene. AT THE SEX SCENE. Easy 5/5 or even 10/10 if you ask me. I hope to find more such beautiful books in the future.

I hate that the characters are so great and adorable that you just hope they survive in the end but they don't😭 or do they 👀 (I'm delulu)

Was hard to get into but I cried my heart out at the end

Die Idee hat mich gepackt, aber der Inhalt mich kaum gehalten. Das erste Buch wo ich die Flashback-Kapitel besser fand, als die in der „Realzeit“. Hat sich zwischendurch ziemlich gezogen und Avery hat durchaus ein paar sehr nervige Charakterzüge, vor einigen Jahren hätte vermutlich sehr gut mit ihr relaten können. Gay, Apokalypse und mental health haben versprochen, was das Buch schlussendlich nicht gehalten hat. Dennoch hat es mir in einigen Passagen gefallen, es hätte der jüngeren Version von mir sehr aus dem Herzen gesprochen und die Autorin hat das Verzweiflungsgefühl bevor man weiß, was mit einem los ist, sehr gut verbildlicht. Fand’s ein bisschen plötzlich, dass ihre Eltern mit einem Mal so LGBTQ-supportive waren, waren sie davor doch extrem homophob, aber nun gut. Nicht atemberaubend, aber es gab einige poetische Sätze, die mich innerlich applaudieren lassen haben
