The Good Side of Wrong

The Good Side of Wrong A Hades and Persephone Reimagining (Blurred Lines)

Jenika Snow2022
From USA Today bestselling author Jenika Snow comes a new full-length standalone Hades and Persephone modern reimagining that blurs the lines between right and wrong. I’d lost everything after my parents passed away, but Hades was there, pen in hand, for me to sign my life away to him. I could have refused, but then I’d be without a home. Without a support system, I’d be penniless. So I said yes. Hades was my guardian. I was his ward. He was cruel. I was too innocent. And the longer I was in his care, and the more I saw how cruel and cold he could be, the more… I wanted him. It was wrong—forbidden—to be together, but the deeper I let Hades pull me into his underworld, the more I wanted him to corrupt me.

2/5 Nothing I haven't read before honestly. I started reading it because it was supposed to be a retelling about Hades and Persephone and I thought maybe the story would be interesting but no, the plot was boring and I only stayed for smut which wasn't even that good. Persephone was bland and had no personality. Hades was like every alpha male character from Wattpad. "I wanted her to cling to me, like I was the air in her lungs and the blood in her veins."

This had started as some weird punishment situation, but now it was shifting into something erotic and wrong and spiraling so out of control there was no stopping it.

Our heroine, Persephone, had the perfect family, until her parents pass away. Suddenly, she's thrusted into the hands of her uncle, Hades, who has control of her inheritance. All he asks is for her to stay with him until she's 21-years-old. But Hades is cold, grumpy, filled with tattoos and menacing in his own right.

He just gave off predator vibes, like a massive beast stalking the wild for his next kill.

The hatred these two had for each other was above and beyond. Hades wants to exact revenge on Persephone, since it was her father and grandfather who abused him so deeply. I loved how Persephone didn't just take whatever Hades would hand to her. She had a smart mouth on her and would constantly butt heads with Hades; it was pure entertainment, watching these two battling it out, especially when the tension started to come into play.

The longer I kept Persephone close, the less I’d be able to control myself. And I wouldn’t stop. Because Persephone would be mine in any way I saw fit.

Now, the dirty talk!!! Holy hell, just going back and reading some of the things Hades would say get me all hot. That man's dirty talk can win awards! Add his dirty talk to his intimidating and menacing aspect, and oof. It's melting central over here. Overall,The Good Side of Wrong is deliciously dirty and scorchingly hot!
