This one actually cleared the bar that book one tripped over. There was way less constant name-dropping of Taylr Sw*ft, which already boosted the experience because I was starting to wonder if authors were getting loyalty-card points every time they mentioned her.

Reggie and Amelia are absolutely adorable. Soft chaos + supernatural charm = winning combo. The worldbuilding continues to eat, too; quirky, cozy, slightly deranged in the best way.

And Reggie’s fashion sense is elite. The man shows up in skirts, serves absolute diva energy, and everyone just rolls with it. People think his whole aesthetic is weird, sure, but that’s because they don’t understand art when it twirls past them in full glam.

Overall, fun vibes, cute romance, and finally a sequel that doesn’t exhaust me with too much pop-culture product placement. A win in my little reading universe, truly.

I was going to give this 3 stars, for being enjoyable enough but then I got to the sex scene. Never listening to a romance audiobook again.
