The book itself was average, the plot was kinda predictable but still enjoyable.
I must admit that I was not expecting a book like this from what I'm used to read from this author.

Re-read Update 7/11/2020: I absolutely love this book. It's a standout story that has stayed with me, and I recently found myself wanting to re-read it. I'm so glad I did. It confirmed for me how much I love this book. It's a romantic thriller and I think the romance is my favorite part. Jensen is literally the best fictional crush ever. I adore his character. Some of the things I loved about this book are the ways JLA dealt with mental health, bullying, drug abuse, and consent in the book. I also loved the tv and movie references to Scream, Supernatural, and Nancy Drew, Jensen's outrageously hilarious flirtations, and just how incredibly relatable and empowering the characters were. I absolutely loved the mystery/thriller aspect as well because it really does remind me of Scream which is probably one of the only thrillers I like. I know I also read Till Death, but this is the story I remember most and I believe it's her best of the two books. Absolutely would recommend to anyone and everyone. It's confirmed as one of my favorite books now.

I love that even JLA’s non-fantasy books are great reads. This one was such a page turner! A little psychological thriller sprinkled with a bit of romance. 

I also really enjoyed that Ella’s fave show was Supernatural and her fave character was Dean (played by an actor named Jensen) and that she ends up with Jensen in the book! It might not have supposed to be a coincidence like that but I loved it!
