Of course it’s another amazing read. Ugh I can’t get enough of her books. They’re written so well and can be so heartbreaking at times and funny and anger inducing. Lol I adore Jennifer’s work and I love Alex’s story and how she deals with things. She is losing people she cares about and becoming something powerful at the same time.

Team Seth Fans you will not want to miss Pure. Seth in Half-Blood caught my curiosity. Pure started off great and was enjoying Seth’s character. He is very over protective but at the same time showed a gentle, sweet and caring side. But at some point he started to annoy me. He had a smart mouth before and loved that about him but at times in Pure he became obnoxious and his lines were a bit cheesy for me. There are a lot of swoon moments for Seth Fans and if not a Seth Fan before might become one now. As for me I do not know if I like his character or not. 

Pure for me lacked the bickering between Aiden, Alex and Seth. There were a few good moments when they go head to head but nothing like Half-Blood. I felt it was too much Seth and not enough Aiden. I really wanted a good mixture of the two. I was annoyed many times when I thought Aiden and Alex would get some book time but nope Seth always seems to pop up and ruin it. 

There was a bad incident that happens that broke my heart. It was a sad moment I did not see coming. The Council part of the novel for me was drawn out and I got bored easy. It was a lot of politics that I did not mind but wish it was cut back just a little. 

Alex once again has gotten herself in a mess towards the end. Aiden does something unthinkable that I loved and showed how much he does care for Alex. What he does makes him more swoon worthy than before. I look forward to see how this all plays out in Deity (Covenant #3).

Team Seth ... I'm sorry like reading things from his POV and i just can't because I know they wn't be endgame and this makes me sad. Don't get me wrong, I adore Aiden and he clearly loves Alex so much but I'm drawn to Seth.

Okay maybe I should read Deity then decide and stick to my decision.

Alex you dumb bitch, seriously can you please figure out the Tally is dangerous and they are probably in some secret order called 'get rid of all the halfs" I mean it's so blatantly obvious.

More Seth POV please and Aiden because then I might start to become an Elena (TVD reference)

This series just keeps getting better and better!!! I personally love Alex's character. I know she comes off annoying sometimes but, come to it she definitely knows how to kick some a$$. I am still trying to figure out if I am team Seth or team Aiden because they both seem to really care for her. This has seriously become one of my favorite series and I can't wait to see what happens next.

The plot is great but sometimes predictable. 

I really like the characters and the chemistry between them. Alex is a bit of an annoying character, she is so reckless. I really like Seth and Alex’s relationship in this book but I don’t think they’re endgame.

I’m still enjoying this but I feel that, there’s no element of surprise during the story you expect most of the things, the love triangle it’s overall okay, it’s not a trope that I fall over heals for but over all I enjoy, the series a few elements that happened at the end made me jump for the third one and I hope I can read it until tomorrow.

Pure is book 2 in the Covenant series and if you read my review for Half-Blood you know I had a lot of problems with it. However, Pure outshines Half-Blood in everyway. As an author Jennifer truely shines and leave the reader hooked and wanting more and more. 

Pure still follows Alex but this time she is trying to deal with the horrible events from book 1. I actually really liked her in this one. She is stubborn, lacks respect for the rules and is trying to deal with her feelings about Aiden and her mother. I found that I could connect with her a lot more. And the relationship she develops with Seth is the reason why I liked her. I know everyone loves Aiden. Yip, I do aswell but Seth.....oh mother may I. Seth comes into book 1 about halfway through but in Pure he is one of the main characters and the bond between him and Alex is amazing. He is full of himself, annoying but so funny. And he truely cares for Alex. I'm definitely Team Seth!!!


As I mentioned, the biggest problem I had with Half-Blood was how similar it was to Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead and I worried this would be the same. Thankfully it wasn't. Pure really was a fast paced, action packed and very unique compared to Half-Blood. I was completely hooked from the first chapter and found myself falling in love with the story and the characters. However, I wasn't a big fan of the ending. It leaves you hanging there with a cliffhanger without answering some questions that develop throughout the book. I know it is a good way to create mystery and suspense around Deity, Book 3, but for me I wanted answers in Pure. 

Overall, Pure was an amazing and unique. It has action, humour, romance but it also has some scenes that will have you reaching for the tissues. And Jennifer, what a talented author. She really shines with this book and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work.

I forgot how full of tension this one was. Although I know what happens next, every time I read this series again I get something new out of it, I think it’s why I love them so much. Also Alex and Aiden 🥰

I loved this book it was a great squeal to half blood. It was one of those books that you just can't put down till you finish it, and then it leaves you wishing the next book has already come out. In most books that I read that have a love triangle I usually know which boy I want the girl to pick but in this series I really don't know who I want Alex to end up with I love both of the guys. I want her to kinda end up with Seth but I don't totally trust him there were a few hints that made me feel that hes not honest with Alex and it worries me that he is just playing the part to get what he wants!!! Then there is Aiden who in Alexs mind is perfect but he needs to make up his mind stay away or go for it. If you liked half blood this will not be a disappointment. I can't wait for the next book to come out!!!!
