Hands down the creepiest freaking book I have read in a long time. McMahon is a master and fans of Stephen King need to pick this up. I know it will stay with me and I know I'll be reading her other books. Brilliant.

I was so looking forward to the haunted hotel spanning multiple generations story, and really enjoyed it until the strange supernatural part kicked in. That being said, I did enjoy it, the author is great, really handled bouncing back and forth between different time periods and different characters' POVs incredibly well. Looking forward to reading more by her.
