So cute!! 
I don't think I ever really left the 'Princess Phase' when I was a toddler, and so I am still drawn to princess books. Especially if they are on sale for only $4.99! Hardcover!

Anyway, back to the book. I don't feel that this is the sort of book to do a formal review on, so I'm just going to list pros and cons.
PROS:
- Strong female main character, who don't take nothing from no bullies! She stands up for herself, even though she is scared to, a feat difficult to accomplish for most middle schoolers.
- Wonderful adults who are very nice to the tweens.
- Really nice, positive, tweens who make very nice friends for Claire.
- London!! :)
- The book's plot is not driven by a silly little girl, who acts immaturely, and will not look into things before drawing conclusions, unlike many of the middle grade books I used to read.

CONS:
- Occasionally, the author throws in some strange things, language wise. A lot of "OMGosh!" "LOL" "Fab. U. Lous." "(!!!)" and unnecessary punctuation (Like this!!! Or this???) is thrown into the story. Ususally I find this to be quite annoying, but in this book I found it added to the character, considering that she was 11, and only learning about these things, rather than a bratty, superficial, teenager.
- Not really much depth to the novel. It's mostly just a fun story, good for summer vacations rather than an intellectual discussions.
- I found myself to be a bit too old for the target age range, and tended to think of the characters as younger siblings or cousins than identify with them. I think my 11-year-old self would have identified with the characters more than I did.
- I did not like how Claire's mother and Grandmother fixated so much on Claire's complexion in a few spots of the book. Claire did not seem to notice or care about her pimples, until they brought them up, and it felt like they were putting her down and lowering her self confidence.
- Lastly, Claire tends to get a bit tongue tied around boys, which was a bit frustrating, but she's not nearly as bad as many YA female narrators. Mostly, her romantic plot was very sweet, realistic, and innocent.

Most Fun Things:
A Royal Wedding!!

The wedding was quite similar to William and Kate's royal wedding, so it was very beautiful, and romantic.

Claire was adorable as she spoke about her and her cousins wedding outfits, and their wonderful stylists.

They were very cute. And, the romance didn't take over the entire storyline! And she didn't want to date until she was 16, so they only danced!! An actually nice, cute, age-appropriate for middle schoolers romance! (hide spoiler)]
And, as we all knew from the start, Claire had to say goodbye to London,

but there's a twist there with that plot point as well. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but let's just say the ending left me quite satisfied and happy. :)
