This book was good. I enjoyed reading it. I wouldn't have finished it in two days if I didn't. My only problem is I felt it was a slow place. The story itself was great but the build-up felt like it took forever. I also know this is just my opinion. 

With that being said, I did give the book three stars because I was constantly wanting answers and it did keep me entertained. The ending is probably my favorite part and moved it from a two to a three-star rating. However, I personally do not think I will be reading another Jennifer Shaw Wolf book unless her novels move at a faster pace.

Then there are the Hispanic migrant workers in town that nobody seems to trust including the enigmatic Eduardo who seemed to have some connection to Rachel and has a huge chip on his shoulder. Why did Rachel change so much in the months before her death? Piercings, dyed hair, and revealing clothing had never been a part of Rachel's life before their visit to the abandoned house where Rachel had seen something that made her scream and come away covered in blood.

This is a good thriller about guilt and the lengths that it can make us go to find the truth - a good but sad story.
