I didn't want to make the same mistakes my parents l made. I didn't want my love to fade away one day like an old scar. I wanted it to burn forever. 

I wish they would have expanded more on Susannah's death. I would have loved to see her last days with the boys and the house, not just finding out a few pages in that she had died.

It was a breeze to read, I love how they started the love triangle and saw the start of Conrad's conflicting feelings with Belly.

BUT OH MY GOD, ADAM AND JEREMIAH IN THAT ONE PART. I wanted to strangle them.

The portrayal of grief in this book was very real for me I felt connected to a lot of the characters in how they dealt with it (aside from all the damn drama LOLL)
