Ah, yes. Children's picture books with rhyming schemes - my guilty pleasure.

In this lovely, little book a little girl's bear has a beard! This bear is quite the wild guy, he even beats up Santa Claus! He was knighted by a queen (not the Queen, because... you know, she's busy). He gets into many shenanigans, has many friends and seems like quite the interesting character!

I would use this book for educational purposes - learning how to pronounce words or say longer sentences. It's not the most thematically interesting book but it sure is fun! I can honestly say I had a fun time and giggled a bit while reading it. My reading buddies back in the day would have loved this book! It's truly a delight.

The illustrations are cute and simple. They only take up about one third of the page and are easy to follow. The colours are bright enough to pull your attention but not overly wild to keep your attention away from the story.

Three out of five stars!

Sweet and smart

Very cute book with great illustrations, the perfect font style and imagination. The design works in harmony. The pages show single scenes, events, scenarios and possibilities for imagining new stories sometimes sillier than expected. Fun.
