The blurb in the back was interesting, and to add to that, I bought it for an excellent bargain a few months ago. I've only decided to read it yesterday because on that same day, I finished 'You' on Netflix which was unhealthy obsessions, exactly what this book was about. And I mean, this book was okay. It was a little boring at times, like a lot of times there were just chapters where Birdy and Bert kind of just... do nothing? (view spoiler)[ But then I learned that those scenes were there to simply represent normalcy. Because that is what they seemed like, normal. Pretty brilliant. Still boring at those times, but okay. Go off.  (hide spoiler)]

The last few chapters were where the pace really picked up. The tone shifts were pretty abrupt, not going to lie there. They really went from 20 > 0 >>>>>>> 100, throughout the novel.
