I feel like I am just banging the same drum with all my reviews about this series! But once again, another great addition to the series!

Amy, who had 
  taken a few detours through down-on-her-luck and then past Bad-Decisionville
 was on the right path now! That path did not include men! She loves her new life, she loves her new friends! But, she is closed off and tight lipped about her past!

But, Matt Bowers AKA Ranger Hot Buns, was lethal to her peace of mind.

Matt gives off the "laid back, easy going" vibe to most of those around him, but he moved to Lucky Harbour after his time in SWAT went bad, leading to his divorce. He is attracted to Amy, but does not do relationships!

They do not want to get involved in a relationship, yet cannot deny the attraction to each other. Against both their wills, they find themselves in a "relationship" and they both have times where they run scared and hurt the other due to their past demons raising their ugly heads!

Unlike previous books, that focused pretty much mainly on the "relationships" this book had more of a side story, with the young runaway Riley! As with Sawyers book though, which had a side story about drugs too, it fits, given the nature of Matt's job, and Amy's history. It worked well, in a way it would not have worked in any other books in the series! Jill Shalvis knows exactly when to keep a book simply about the "relationship" and when she can add a little bit extra drama to it.

Again, a great cast of secondary characters from Lucky Harbour!

I cannot put into words well enough how happy I am to have discovered this series and Jill Shalvis as an author!

(and I did not notice any of the detail and continuation errors in this book that I had the previous two books! Even in the previous books they were only tiny issues anyway)
