I have had this BOOK on my list for years and honestly, I have no idea why I waited so long for this one. I read book one. "Second Chance Summer" and truly adored it a handful of years ago so I am not sure why it took me so long but I finally was able to read or in this case, I was able to grab ahold of the audiobook through my local library. And first, off I want to mention this might be my favorite book from this author so far!! I know I know...crazy sauce, but it's true.

In this book we have such a beautiful meet-cute that happens right off....our two main characters are Hudson and Bailey. Bailey has come to paint a mural for a family who owns and runs a mountain ski resort, while out doing some skiing she meets up with Hudson who saves her in the snow and when they run into each other there is a strong spark of attraction. But Hudson is against the mural painting but is outnumbered by members of his family. Hudson is the hard-working and responsible sibling, always taking charge and working to the brink of exhaustion. Our heroine has gone through her share of life struggles. She has battled cancer for close to ten years and now has a bucket list and wants to LIVE her life in a way she hasn't since she was fifteen years old. What starts out as some angst tension between Hud and Bailey, turns into something strong and tender but Hudson will have to fight for his girl if he wants to keep her in his life and prove his sincerity.

This was such a charming story and I truly fell in love with just about every aspect of this story and boy this family. I just loved them all!! What I have come to truly admire about this author is how she balances out the characters. We see our hero and heroine equally and I truly loved that and need this more in romance. Its so rare to see a cancer survivor in romance and I felt like Shalvis really handled this element so well in our heroine. The romance that develops between our characters is so sweet at times, especially the kissing scenes....*swoon* passionate and tender which is my favorite mix. I can't wait to finish the trilogy with "Nobody But You"

Jill Shalvis has this ability to write a perfect romance, always. Her books have the perfect level of story, romance, and character development that you become interested every time and let me tell you, reading about Hudson and Bailey was a pleasure because they are both complex characters with a lot going on.

I will do a full review later, but I want to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I felt emotionally invested the entire way through and cannot wait to read the next book in Cedar Ridge. I am in love with the Kincaid's. A book featuring a complex and large family is always a pleasure to read.

Jill Shalvis is the queen in writing fantastic romance stories. Her romance stories are so addicting that I cannot stop myself in reading all of it. Her romance stories is so heartwarming that it makes the romance so much sweeter to read. My Kind of Wonderful is the second book in the A Cedar Ridge series. 
My Kind of Wonderful starts off with Hud getting his romance story. Hud is a sexy cop hunk that all of the reader want him for their self. He is sweet and kind whenever he helps his family or the town that he is a great catch, But he has root in his town that he would not leave it at all especially when his family need him. However, things get shaken up when a cute yet artistic Bailey come into town.
Bailey is a cute women that you would never known that she has face a serious illness. Bailey is a strong women that she is determined to live her life to the fullest since she has face some much things while she was sick. She definitely catches the eye of Hud that they chemistry is hot and intense! 
They romance is hot and passionate that it makes the love scene intense. But their romance will take some time and thinking since they both have baggage to each other. Its going to take some time between them to realize hat they what from one of other but it is totally worth it if it is true love.
My Kind of Wonderful is a sweet yet funny romance story that all of the reader will love every minute of it! Five Stars.

Both Bailey and Hudson want to live for the moment because of the huge baggage they each carry around. She is crossing her fingers that her ten year battle with cancer may finally be over; he keeps himself immersed in his families' ski resort and his search and rescue ski patron work. Of course, all these plans are off when they meet cute.

Great characters, as usual for Shalvis, and fun dialog and very sexy sex (on the desk, on the office floor, in the snow). I had a great time reading it, and enjoy this new series set in the mountains.
