I love reading Jill Shalvis. She never disappoints me. Her stories are fun, the characters are engaging, and the romance is sparkling. This was not an exception. A good story with Jills' ever present charm. What's not to like?

I saw this book on the shelf at Barnes & Noble, was entranced by the cover and decided to pick it up because of that... and because I really enjoy Jill's books. Trouble in Paradise was definitely different than the other books of hers I've read, but it was no less enjoyable. The doomed boat and subsequent time on the island made for an interesting backdrop for Dorie's story. 

I really liked Dorie. It was easy to relate to her... and her klutziness. The potential love interests were sexy and swoony, but I definitely think Dorie made the right choice. (Though I wouldn't mind a little story from the guy who didn't get chosen!) The other characters in the story were intriguing, and even a little mysterious, in their own right. The romance was fun and a bit steamy and there were several moments that had me chuckling as I read. There's even an element of suspense, if you're looking for something like that. 

Trouble in Paradise was a fun and enjoyable contemporary romance. I love Jill's characters and the humor she brings to her books... and the romance, naturally. I'm already looking forward to when I can make time to read another of her books. She's definitely becoming a favorite in this genre.
