I loved this, it was just the feel good kind of romance I needed today!
I was SO excited with the synopsis of this book. The potential for a YA love triangle to give me all of the feels and unravel the emotion of loving two different types of people who also happen to be your best friends. I thought this book was going to eat me ALIVE and yet.. I didn't anticipate that this book was going to be told from childhood into adulthood, and so I couldn't settle into the pull of the book. I was under the impression, when I started, that it was going to cover how they all met when they were young and then flash forward to "current time" where it dives deeper into them. I would have preferred that. That's not what happened 😩 The voice of the book wasn't a favorite; the dialogue and inner monologue of the female main character remained pretty childish, but I guess I can understand that it was supposed to be light and fluffy. Would have wanted her story telling voice to mature as she got older. They were described to be pretty hot though LMAO. Who could resist a hot athlete best friend who makes out with you with no strings attached AND another hot best friend who happens to be the sweetest guy ever and calls you every night before bed? 💀🤷🏻♀️ Overall, 3 stars. Wish I enjoyed it more
It was really fun, and a quick read. I read it in about a day on my iPad.
In a word: loved.
