grumpy x sunshine and throw in a single (uncle?) trope and you have me hook line and sinker. finn was everything. the small things he did to the bigger things made me aww out loud. millie was perfect and bright and i just adored her. i loved seeing her stand up for herself near the end it was good to see. 

el and ave were the most adorable kids ever and i loved how much they truly adored both finn and then millie. seeing their little moments was so beautiful. i also loved how millie would try and include clara. 

i truly adored this book and the writing and (again, this is becoming a pattern) how it talked about grief but in the subtle ways and not so bone crushing. i only doxxed half a star because this kind of felt insta lovey and im not a huge fan. but ill let it slide this once.
