I must be on a streak. I've now read three books in a row that were so good, I took every opportunity I could to snitch a few pages here and there.

This book is not for the squeamish. The spiral into chaos suffered by this platoon is entirely understandable. Not forgivable perhaps, but certainly well-explained. The background material is intensive, but the author has the uncanny ability to create a very fine narrative of war at its ugliest.

Good job, Mr. Frederick. Thank you for the time you took working the manuscript. It certainly shows.
