You should really try to get down there and see for yourself. Starfire picks up the pieces and finds her new home in the aftermath of the storm! But while our hero helps her community heal, a creature from the underworld emerges to threaten all she hopes to protect! What is this creature's hidden motive? And why does it seem to get bigger every time Starfire punches it? From the minds behind HARLEY QUINN comes STARFIRE in her first ever solo series! Collects STARFIRE #1-6.

Such a fun introduction to the character! She's kind of a mix of Thor and Drax (I know, both Marvel characters, it's weird!) and I love her so much. A fish out of water story with wonderful female characters and a tropical setting. The villains could have been stronger but it's comic books, I get it.

Probably closer to a 3.5, but I was pleasantly surprised by this latest volume of Starfire! I haven't been a fan of the character since the new-52 reboot, so I was quite pleased to hear that DC was shifting her back to her bubbly, joyous self. Starfire has moved to Florida, and she's trying to integrate with humanity. There's not much more plot than that, so what makes the book work so well is that Starfire is an adorable fish out of water. She's a bright patch of happiness in the angsty DC line-up, and Conner and Palmiotti have pulled off another Harley Quinn style refresh that is miles better than what DC was doing before. I can't wait until volume 2!

this was a quick and enjoyable read—the art changed a few times and i can’t remember if that happened in the first volume but it set me off because of the drastic character changes halfway through, and the plot was interesting but not captivating enough. i enjoy kori’s character and personality, but everyone seemed to be all over the place and some things seemed confusing.
