My Dirty Duke A Victorian Novella

I like age gap romances. If you don’t it can be icky for you (18/41). But it was a great afternoon read, smutty, good development, very well written.

*maybe 2.5 stars? idk how to rate this exactly ok i'm actually pissed that this was so good for a novella. the development, the steamy scenes, and romance overall was done so well in such a short amount of pages which i find hard to achieve when it comes to a romance novella. HOWEVER i could not get over the age gap. she's 18 while he's 41 and the circumstances of their relationship left a bad taste in my mouth. i know this is an age gap trope but i wasn't expecting her to be that young and for him to be that old. even so, i don't understand why this story couldn't have been told with her being even a little bit older. also, the fact that he is her father's best friend and knew her since she was in diapers yet couldn't control his attraction to her once she turned the ripe age of 18 and deemed her "womanly" enough to lust after, felt so icky. in general, age gaps aren't my thing so that's my bad, but there are certain circumstances i cannot forgive. if you don't mind age gaps and need a good smutty historical romance novella this one is really well done. but for me, the age difference was too much for me to really love it.
