Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's just the second book thing...

A bit lagging at times but overall enjoyable. We got to see more of the world-building in this book, as the characters embarked on a journey so dangerous it might cause everyone's lives (including us reader, because things got WILD at times). 

Thorn and Brand are the dynamic duos that I really like, and the diplomacy games were witty and cunning as ever. Love the characters, love the twists, and the satisfying ending. Gosh, I love Joe Abercrombie.
