Mr. Nightmare

My issues with this book come mostly from my own expectations for character, tension, and horror. Mr. Nightmare is the weak spot of the novel. He comes across as a non-threatening force that we are meant to be afraid of.

It's hard to explain why without going into story spoilers (which I try to avoid). Suffice it to say, as a horror story this book lack teeth and tension, exchanging instead for padding and an ending that comes abruptly and with far too much convenience to be satisfying.

I recommend a pass.
