April 22nd, 1996, I was brought into this world. April 22nd, 2018, I am still here surprisingly doing all right, but not-so-surprisingly having a horrible day. I’ll get straight to the point: everyone thinks that I don’t celebrate it. I like to think I just don’t advertise it because I have a very unpopular opinion. I am not very interested in throwing all my money, all my health, and all my dignity on the floor for one night. I can do that every night.

It is an attempted coming-of-age story, although the link between personal stories and formations shouted at the reader comes off as disingenuous. Very good concept overall, but poorly executed. Writing and style leaves a lot to be desired at the start but then improves significantly towards the end.

I waited 1.5 years for this book to come out, and although somewhat disappointed, I see potential in Joey.I will continue to follow him on social media and am excited to read the sequel
