Raw Thoughts A Mindful Fusion of Poetic and Photographic Art

Raw Thoughts artfully presents voyeuristic glimpses of the heart, mind and soul in a way that is pseudo-chronological: a purposeful evolution from loss and despair to catharsis, introspection to illumination, and from there to happiness and love. Each poem is symbiotically paired with photograph to form visceral, emotional vignettes (raw thoughts), exhibiting what happens in life with the aim of evoking contemplation about what can be done to make things better. The poetry is largely accessible, with enough complexity to placate the serious poetic enthusiast. This is intentional, as Raw Thoughts is not specifically targeted at the MFA-touting echelon. The targeted reader is everyone. All photos in the book were shot with vintage film cameras using 60mm (medium format) and 35mm black and white film.
