Cannot tell if the author’s conversational tone is due to his age or immersion-by-proxy to fandom that adds little to the analysis at play. Incredibly 2010s milieu in the way Granger discusses women, i.e, ‘damaged goods’. The analysis is fine if a little hokey and he dearly needed a line editor to tighten up the book. Could’ve had easily twenty more pages if he wasn’t trying to evince a friendly manner that falls flat. Contextualises the lamentable inclusion of Native Americans as werewolves.
