This was a touching story about guys and dreams and sports and reflecting on youth. But as a female who isn’t into sports, as a matter of fact my high school football team lost every single football game during our senior year, and really no personal feeling of team spirit whatsoever, I palpably felt it while reading this book. I loved the characters stories, the details about the small town, the feeling of regret and grudges in a town that makes the memories come flooding back. It was a really well written book and i’m tempted to read Grisham’s other sports novels.
