When the author reached out he pitched this as reading like a classic, campy slasher film. For MOST of this story, he nails that vibe. However this story goes hard on the graphic body horror and until I read this I didn't quite know where my line was with being able to stomach the words on the page. This one blasted past at least part of that line. 

The premise is interesting, I enjoyed the religious twist/aspects of this story as they felt a little different than what we usually see from "religious horror" but the graphic nature of this book, particularly from about the halfway point on, was just too much for me. I could see fans of this style of graphic horror finding a lot to enjoy in the campy slasher movie vibes with plenty of explicit brutality though. 

Solid premise but just not for me.
