Uzela sam ovu zbirku eksplicitno zbog toga što sam na nekoliko različitih mesta na internetu pročitala da je dobra odskočna daska za čitanja Borhesa. 

Mislim... ako ste ovime hteli da mi prodate da je Borhes ultra genijalni književni mag, baš i niste uspeli. Većina ovih priča je pisana u fazonu da autor nama prepričava neki polu-istinit događaj za koji je čuo od prijateljevog brata ujaka sestre od tetke i tome slično. Na taj način ne samo da su priče same po sebi bile dosadne, nego su i protraćene one ključne, dobre ideje koje bi se našle u svakoj drugoj, trećoj. 

Tako mi je sve u Brodijevom izveštaju bilo ispod proseka i nijedna priča mi nije bila za više od 3,5 (i to sa žmurenjem na jedno ili na oba oka).
