This is funny and dry. The humor on it might be lost on very young children, but they will still enjoy the lovely drawings and the story arc. When I read it at a school, one of the teachers laughed out loud and thanked me afterwards.

My four-year-old enjoyed this, but I found it grating. The penguin sure is whiny, and then you have to read an entire page soliloquy by some preachy walrus. Penguin sees the light, for a moment, but then still whines. I have enough whining at home, thank you.
