Charming, clever, and funny! This was a fun adventure with a fabulous host in Vampire Bastian and his talking cat Whitby! The two are taking a very well deserved vacation after the five years toll of Bastian getting “clean” from drinking human blood, when they literally stumble across a dead body on the beach. Now Bastian stands accused of murder by the bigoted blowhard of a Captain, who has stupidly called the vampire council to deal with him. Only Bastian knows that not only will he be put to true death, the council will likely raze the entire town to ash. Luckily, for him, he’s put into the custody of Inspector De Luca until the council arrives. After convincing the handsome Inspector that helping him and Whitby find the real killer might save his town, the three set off to uncover the truth. If only the bodies would stop piling up, Bastian would really enjoy some alone time with De Luca!
