I do not have words for how disgusted I am. I’m not even talking about the main love story, which is undeveloped, and complete and utter garbage. This book is so problematic, I am ashamed to even have it in my house. The amount of positive 4 & 5 star reviews is actually concerning. The last chapter reads like a rape apologist manifesto, full excuses and victim blaming the main character, who was a drugged minor. Absolutely disgusting. The author tries to convince the reader to have sympathy for the rapist by portraying his as some poor guy, who was drunk, and a virgin, and felt like he couldn’t live up to his stepfather’s expectations(hello, Toxic Masculinity), but now he’s older, and has a fiancé, and wears khakis(so non-threatening), so he’s can’t possibly have done this horrible, terrible thing. Plus, he lead her away from three other guys (so it could have been much worse), and the victim kissed him, and said she loved him (even though they were complete strangers), and never explicitly said “no,” so what else was he supposed to do? Also, yeah, he should totally have visitation rights with the kid. It’s disgusting and I am furious. It might be messy, but it is still rape, which is never, under ANY circumstance, excusable. Period. 
It’s sickening, and I wish I could unread it. Instead, I will throw it in the trash, where it belongs.
