Poet Warrior A Memoir

It is very difficult for me to find the words to describe how I feel after finishing this book. Harjo, in toying and pressing against the limits of language, I feel called to the space beyond words. I do not see the world the same way that she does, but I’d imagine that she’s not asking me to do that. The word that comes with to mind as I think about this book is cultivation, but even that feels too formulaic. I’d recommend Poet Warrior to anyone who enjoys memoirs that are invitations to ever-growing stories beyond the page.
