This is funny my mom got me this book for Christmas and i'm pretty sure if she knew what was in the book she would not have gotten it for me. this book is about two friends that go through life together they became sisters . i wish i had a friend but for now its just me

I devoured this book in almost one reading. I loved how vibrant the characters and settings were. Judy Blume is an amazing author. This book is amazing, I have nothing negative to say about it. I kind of wish I had a friend like Caitlin growing up :)

A key character in this book was almost insufferable, and yet Judy Blume managed to land the plane and make me care about her in the end. The sex was boldly written, and plentiful to be sure. I'm all about portraying sex from a woman's perspective honestly and unapologetically, but sometimes I felt it was at the expense of diving deeper into what made the characters do the things they did. And it bothered me to have a book so centered around the sexual awakening of young women, and yet the word vagina was not used once. Vagina vagina vagina! Enough with the euphemisms. Ultimately though, Blume is a master and it was great.
