I've read the German version when I saw this in the library. I usually don't read short books like this, but I was in the mood for something quick.

This packed a punch.

I didn't expect this to be so oppressive and triggering for me. The writing about the feelings of the main male character are vivid and the panic attacks have been described in such a way, that I had a hard time (I only ever experienced one panic attack in my life and I thought I would die then).

The writing and topic of this book were amazing, but I can't say I had a great time reading this book. It's really good, but now I just want something light, fluffy and cozy.

Trigger warnings for depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and infidelity.

I want to check out the authors other works, but I'll need something a bit more positive first. I have a feeling though that this story will stick with me.
