Catching Cameron A Love and Football Novel
Reviews

Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads . It's been awhile since I've read one of Julie Brannagh's books and I'm not entirely sure why. I really enjoyed the first two books in her Love and Football series, and I had a review copy of this one, but for some reason I'm just now getting to it. I'm also kicking myself for waiting so long. Catching Cameron is my favorite book in the series so far. I love football. I love romance. I love second chance stories. Catching Cameron gave me all of these things in one delightful and sexy little package. Cameron and Zach had some fantastic chemistry when they come face-to-face during their interview. Of course, there's also a good bit of tension that I didn't really understand until the whole story came out. Cameron and Zach were definitely acquainted with each other – quite intimately, as a matter of fact – and share quite a history. But, I'm not going to tell you any more about that. A book has to have a strong female character for me to connect with it. Cameron was definitely strong. She was intelligent and damn good at her job. It's not easy to be a female sports journalist and Cameron's struggles show this. While I loved Cameron from the start, it took a little time for Zach to grow on me. He was a little too much of a playboy for my liking, but once I got to see the other side of him, the one he's kept hidden since his time with Cameron all those years ago, I was sold. I loved their banter and how their relationship progressed throughout the book. Catching Cameron was a fun book with a lot of heart. The premise of a female journalist being embedded in a football training camp was just plain fun. My inner feminist was outraged right along with her when they tried to change the show and exploit her personal life. But, at the same time, I loved her interactions with Zach and the other players so much, I loved the idea for my own selfish reasons. Of course, there's some drama, but it wasn't angsty and it was definitely needed to move the story forward. Sports romance fans should definitely check this series out, if they haven't already. It just keeps getting better and better and I can't wait to start Covering Kendall! I received a copy of this book from the publisher, via Edelweiss, in exchange for an honest review.
