Romance with some suspense. It’s been awhile since I read Julie Garwood and it was like reuniting with a friend. This is a fast read that will have you falling fast and hard. While Allison and Liam formed a relationship with a HEA; I felt like there was something missing. Also, the lack of communication when it mattered drove me crazy. They could have avoided some misunderstandings had they actually talked to each other .... but that is classic romance 101.

Review:

I thought that I would love this book, Allison seemed like she would be such a bad ass but I sadly found her to be a wimpy people pleaser. One of my main problems with Allison was the way that she was so afraid of disappointing her horrible Aunt and Uncle who raised her only for the money. Time and again Allison let these people take her earnings from her modeling jobs to spend on their loser son who cannot stay out of trouble. As for the romance , there was zero chemistry between Allison and Liam, all of a sudden they just decided that they were an item. No fun banter or heat at all. The computer coding and hacking plot was not really intriguing at all to me and truthfully seemed a bit boring. The main problem for me with this book was Allison's lack of backbone as hotshot computer hacker, it just wasn't happening for her or me. Once you get past Allison having a tortured childhood, is outstandingly smart and beautiful, it's a good read. Predictable, but a good read on a hot summer afternoon. The storylines are well woven, but I am a little tired of everyone being beautiful or hunks.

Great Read 

This was an amazing read. Once I started I read it straight through, I couldn’t put it down. The representation of strong, brilliant women is definitely present with Allison Trent. She brings love to the pages with her smarts and her liveliness. Once she finds herself she insures that she can’t be taken advantage of. 

This is a story of action, romance and self discovery. Julie Garwood as done it again with this one and I can’t wait to read more.

I don't understand how this book topped the NY times bestseller list. The story is plain and simple. Truly disappointed.

4-4.5 stars!!! I can say without a doubt that the heroine MADE this book for me. An awkwardly adorable female coder/hacker, Allison is now one of my new favorite characters – I loved her! And this was my very first Julie Garwood book, but it definitely won't be my last. Review to come!

P.S. If y'all know of any romances with female coders/hackers, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!
