I found this book a while back and being a lover of historical romances picked it up. Well worth the read. Love the book

jeezs, i can’t believe i misjudged this book so badly :(( i don’t think it’s fair to over-criticise this book since i shouldn’t have expected much when i picked it up xd honestly for what i was expecting based of the cover (a dutch, worn, second hand copy that i bought for fifty cents which portrays a half naked woman clinging to a sturdy, masculine man, as if i didn’t get what the book was going for based of the dutch title which roughly translates to “where passion blossoms” 0.0) i guess you could say i’ve been pleasantly surprised i still need to recover from what i just read and will probably write a proper review tomorrow morning but for now; • what the frick happened to the second half of this book • why didn’t i stop when i realised it is the second part in a series??? • THE COMMUNICATION AND MISUNDERSTANDING, my goodness i didn’t realise what a huge pet peeve of mine this is, i was so annoyed by the things that COULD ALL HAVE BEEN PREVENTED IF THERE HAD BEEN A BIT MORE TALKING AND A BIT LESS EGO AND SWOONING • i’m still shocked that this entire book was basically driven by the miscommunication • i loved the first half so much, so so much!! i think i might keep this book just to reread the first half because it made me so happy somehow - it makes the comparison to the second half worse and my expectations felt let down, to say the least • hell yeah i’m still gonna be reading the first book in the series despite already having read this second one • oh my goodness why am i such a sucker for a good scottish-rivalry-romance-clan-war thing???
