All Downhill With You Honeywood Fun Park Series, Book #1
Reviews

this book was lovely. i can’t think of anything i didn’t like.
it was cute and sweet and funny and light and safe (for all those who don’t like to cry their eyes out lol) and a tiny bit spicy.
i’d highly recommend it.

Okay this is such a slow beginning but when it picks up boy does it pick up. I really like the uniqueness of this story while still keeping the enemies to lovers trope. Also nice to see some disability rep

I loved this book, I loved the characters. I loved the tension and the slow burn, the enemies to lovers, the sunshine x grump, it was amazing. We had fun side characters, great friendships, a quirky amusement park, etc. The writing was good, it kept me engaged, and the spice 🥵 I wish there was more because what we did get was so good.

First off, want to say I found this book from your tiktok marketing!!! You sold me solely off of aesthetics and vibes. New romance trope dropped in this book: lawsuit to lovers. I love fantasy so I really appreciated the map, it was cute as was the book as a whole. I actually picked this up in the middle of trucking my way through Kingdom of Ash so it felt like a fresh breath of air for my brain. It was a light and pretty quick read, I finished it in 3 short sitting. Parts were corny*, but I feel like there’s potential for this little universe that’s being built so I will for sure be read the sequel to see what’s up! If you are a Disney adult who likes a dash of heat, this is for you! *I thought it was corny that a 36 year old man was THAT grumpy and unwilling to stand up to his father. I also felt like parts of their love story was written like it would be better suited for a younger (teenager..) couple. Maybe it’s just me but it felt a little too corny for the ~30 age range.

Highlights

“Every situation contains two sides of the same coin,” she says. “If you find a penny on the ground, it only appears to be lucky or unlucky based on which side shows its face. But it’s all about perspective. It’s all about what you believe. Are you going to let the other side of the coin make your day unlucky? Turn this situation over. Find the other side.”
that’s actually powerful.

“You want to have control over everything around you, but have you considered that maybe you can’t?”
It’s like being slapped in the face.

“You’ve ruined other women for me,” he says. “You must know that.”
Emory traces my jaw with his large hand, stroking down to my chin.
“Don’t worry. No other man can compare.”
“No, beautiful,” he mutters. “No other men will ever get the chance.”

«But she has me wrapped around her finger. And not only do I want her, but I would also give myself to her in a second if she asked.»

«People fear the loss of control. It’s natural.»
