In Too Deep A Grumpy Boss Romance (Into You, Book #1)
Reviews

I’m honestly only giving it 3 stars because of the dogs. I didn’t really care much for the writing. Spice was meh. The plot was a little messy for me. It's not the worst book I’ve ever read, and I may read the others in this series.

soo… this was another good one!
i didn’t like Crace’s attitude that much. like for me being confident doesn’t equal being rude as well, but anyway!
Cameron was hot hot hot and charming and i definitely felt it throughout the book 🥵.
the writing is funny, smart and cute as always! doesn’t let you put the book down (which is a problem, we have responsibilities we neglect in order to read dear author 😂).
i enjoyed it very much and i expect nothing less from the rest of the series as well.

This book was just not it for me. I was very close to not finishing it about 53% of the way, but I had to see it through. The main characters were so obnoxious and not likeable at all. I’m all for a confident main character and a woman who is fierce in what she believes in, but the way Grace approached “confidence” was so off putting. She literally worked at her new job for a total of 5 seconds before she started mouthing off to her NEW BOSS and making, what I thought, were extremely rude and distasteful remarks. And I get that Grace’s “thing” was that she was feisty or whatever, but there’s a time and a place for it and no one ever put her in her place for it?? She crossed the line way too many times and everyone just laughed it off. Cameron wasn’t any better. God, he really fucking sucked actually. At one point, Grace is genuinely asking him for suggestions on a design that she was working on that she thought was “too messy” and apparently, he couldn’t stop thinking about how hard he was long enough to, uh I don’t know, do his job?? So the most he could muster up to help was something like, “Make it.. less messy?” He absolutely did not give a single shit about Grace’s job or her losing it over their forbidden office romance. The spicy scenes were written so well and really the book in general, but the characters themselves ruined it for me.

Highlights

I heard once that one hour of coloring is equivalent to one session with a therapist.

If I’ve learned anything these couple months, it’s to stop living in the past because the future is all we have. There’s no point in being unhappy with what you have.

We really don’t deserve dogs.
that was definitely the most accurate sentence i’ve read.

But, hey, he smiled and I panicked. What do you expect me to do?
