I’m a people pleaser through and through. And saying 

I burst out laughing. “You’re kidding.”

I’m of the firm belief that collecting books and reading books are separate hobbies anyway.

So, I bent to be whatever he needed me to be. I tend to always fall into that role. It’s easier that way.

I was always taught by Jasper’s own mother to never make someone who is hurting feel any worse.

I’m a creature of habit. I arrive at the docks at the same time every morning; I have repeating tasks blocked out in my calendar; I eat the same chicken and broccoli leftovers for lunch; and meetings never run past their allotted time on my watch. But the most important part of my schedule every single day, without fail, is when I get in my car and drive away at three forty-five to finally see my boy.
