maybe 3 is too high for this because I had some serious problems with it. that said, I think I’m inclined to feel generous because it was the final book and for all its kookiness it ended well, and the last chapter made me laugh. I just think that the writing went downhill, the beginning was somewhat slow, Theo was given a lot less importance, the narrative’s treatment of snow (a minor!!!) was awful (appalling), and I hate the term “gold star lesbian”. I did find myself feeling really fond about the characters, and so I do think it’s worth the read to finish it out.

I was so lucky to receive an eARC of the first HMRC book and have been hooked on following Niamh, Ciara, Leonie, Elle Theo, Chinara, Radley and many others.

This is the trilogy we need and deserve. It has marvelous world building and such deep platonic love.

I listened again to the audiobooks for book 1&2 and could never have imagined how book 3 would be. It surpassed all my expectations. All three books deserve more than 5 stars. The love, the representation for both the Queer and BiPoc community is beautiful. I hope more readers will feel seen reading this book.

Words do not suffice in describing how great this book is. All I can say is read the trilogy ASAP.
