AMO A ESTA GENTE X3

this was the one i liked least of all four in the series. not that it is bad - on the contrary. I’m giving it 4 stars. but it took me a while to get into it. i liked sam and Riley’s romance. it wasn’t memorable but it is cute and in the end of the day it makes you feel good. but once again what pushed this into becoming a 4 star read was probably the friend group - all the ladies and the ladies and respective partners. i love seeing them as a big friend group. 4-stars ✨

4.5 stars. i loved that so much!! i think that’s my favorite so far of the series, riley and sam were so good 🫶🏻

*3.5

it was a fast read and it kept me entertained 3.75 stars

"You see, years ago, I fell in love with a girl who was, and is, about a hundred times too good for me. I spent a torturous decade keeping her at a distance when all I wanted was to pull her toward me and ask her to be mine. I tried to lose myself in other relationships, but nobody came close. Nobody will ever come close." And again Lauren Layne did an amazing job with Riley and Sam!! Idk if they were my fave or GraceJake I'm obsessed with all these characters in this series that idk if i will ever pick a favorite! But this book was a ride and so much fun and again so beautiful and made me love this group of friends even more! I'm so happy I started this series Lauren Layne put something in her books because I can't get enough!

4.25 stars this series is becoming one of my new comfort series. i love it sm. and the characters own my heart. i love riley and i love sam. and ngl i loved their screaming match- i have a thing for angry screaming fighting love confessions.

*4.5 stars* Laurel Layne is firmly in my fave authors list at this point. I love the girls and their friendship in this series so much.

Adoro a Lauren Layne. A cada libro que leo suyo solo me enamoro más de su forma de escribir. ¿Riley? La mejor. ¿Sam? Mejorable a ratos pero entendible. ¿La historia? Me ha enganchado. 4/5 estrellas muy merecidas.

I thought this book would fill the hole in my life The Bold Type has left while I wait for the next series. It kind of did, like I was getting some of the vibes that matches that show... but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. It could be because it's been a while since I read the previous books or it could have been something else. All I know is the romance was good and I liked the characters but I was missing the really strong BFF vibes that you get from Jane, Kat and Sutton in The Bold Type. I do think there was a strong friendship between the women in this book too... but some of that was set up in previous books and so I don't feel it as much here. I don't know, it was probably more a me thing than the books fault. I don't think me constantly comparing it to a TV show helped things. It was good and I'm glad I'm another book down on my Kindle but I'm sad this didn't wow me more as Lauren Layne was a firm favourite of mine.

Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads. THIS is the book I was waiting for. Don't get me wrong, I love all the characters in this series and I enjoyed reading all of them, but there was something about Riley and Sam and the interactions I'd seen between them in previous books that made me NEED THIS BOOK so badly. It's probably because I'm a sucker for the whole brother's best friend and little sister match up. Add in a side of (what appears to be) unrequited love and I'm all over it. It was everything I wanted and more. When Riley (and the rest of the Stiletto Love and Relationship ladies) were charged with writing a special, behind the scenes look at themselves and how they actually live the things they write for Stiletto, she realizes the jig is just about up. What would readers (or the higher ups) say if they realized the columnist who writes about sex doesn't have anywhere near the experience the whole of Manhattan thinks she does? She decides to proposition Sam, her brother's best friend and her lifelong crush, to help her gain some experience. What she doesn't know is that Sam's been pining away for her for years, just as she was doing the same for him. He's trying to be a good man and stay true to a promise he made to her brother years ago, however. I loved Riley and Sam together. It would be an understatement to say things were bumpy with these two though. It wasn't that they were lacking chemistry – even when it was of the antagonistic variety, it was good. They'd known each other a good portion of their lives. They cared deeply for each other, even if they didn't really show it. The feelings had been lurking for awhile, it's just now they get the chance to come out. But it's not easy. Sam's a complicated guy and, thanks to his piece of trash mother, he's never felt like he could do anything right and he definitely wasn't good enough for Riley. This one features a slow burn and it takes some time for them to get down to the good stuff, and even then there are some things they need to get past, but I LOVED IT. It was real and I was totally invested in them. I think there were more tears with this book than the others combined. But it all ended with me having a huge grin on my face and all but clutching my iPad to my chest. FAVORITE QUOTES: She did this to herself every damn time, holding on to the hope that she and Sam would actually cross that line between bickering and flirting, curiosity and jealousy. Between friends and lovers. Riley, on the other hand, was blissfully unaware of Sam's plight and was quite likely to die as the hottest old lady on the block, completely blind to the fact that she'd killed ol' Sam Compton simply by being the most gorgeous woman alive. The problem wasn't that he'd been her (almost) first. It was that some deep, dark, moronic part of him wanted to be her last.

yes i'm reading these out of order who cares
