this didn't have to go crazy hard but it did. came late to the animorphs party but i have arrived.

This book still holds up years later. 

I'm not usually a fan of basically anything vaguely sci-fi, but somehow this has made it interesting and that may be because they focus more on the characters and their fight against the villains. 

Once the action starts, it doesn't stop which makes this feel like a much quicker read than it is (Not that it is a long book). There were a surprising number of heartbreaking moments, and honestly, once it gets serious, the humor that was there, in the beginning, disappears completely. It really felt like you were going into a war. You travel that path with them. 

The ending (without revealing anything) was bittersweet.
