This erotic novella relies so heavily on extended, long-winded metaphors and bodily language that I often got lost finding the actual substance. It starts strongly and fades into this murky water of a long 2nd person poem. I was excited to read a lesbian AAPI story, but there is not much to be enthralled about but rather off-put. I would feel a bit ashamed recommending this to readers who have not been exposed to body gore fiction or image-driven poetry.
